backup not opening and shrinking files

I use dvd decrypter + Shrink + nero to complete my backup process and I have been successful so far in last 6 - 8 months. last week i had this problem with a brand new dvd. the decrypter could not finish pocess beyond 4%
1. where do i get the log files of this process.

I did some serach and then used pcgedit with some plugins. the process went on fineand it said - It did not have any protection files (but used some crack from time to time in the process). it said I did not need to use the Vob Blanker.

This still did not help and I could not open files in shrink. I then used IFO edit and did the process, still it does not help completely. now I am able to open the files but I only see the Title files for some MB and main movie for only 300 mb. its a complete 7.85 gb movie and I see can see that under the folder propertes.
