    Hi

I recorded a streamed WMV-file and tried to convert it to MPEG2 with TMPGEnc Plus. Unfortunately the conversion aborts at about 70%, saying "Index of scan lines etc....". The usual fix here didn't help: besides I don't experience the same prob with other WMV from the same source. Since Super and Vegas Movie Studio failed as well, I'm pretty sure there are corrupted frames somewhere in the movie.

Is there a way to fix the source file or remove bad frames? File plays right in WMP, but the preview speeds down in all the other apps.

    thank you very much!

    Thanks Baldrick

Excuse me, I didn't express myself clearly. The usual fix...to the "index of scan lines...." error in TMPGEnc.

I'll try the tools you mentioned, being a newbie I didn't even know them.
