  1. But it works fine on a HP Laptop. The problem is that the software and drivers install and seems to run but when using the guitar synth program or just using the device as a sound card it won't function.
On the HP laptop it loads and works fine. The M-Audio also works fine on 2 desktop machines.
All computers are P4's or Celeron M machines. Tried updated drivers and re-installing the drivers to no avail.
HP laptop is a ZE4933 (low end Celeron M machine)
Toshiba Laptop is a L25 (another Low end Celeron M machine)

I'm trying to contact M-Audio but they don't have alot of info available.
Email will be my next go with M-Audio.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    UB

I have a similar problem, except with different machines....it may be the Fast track USB.

It works fine on my Laptop (no brand from local store) P4 3.0ghz 1 gig ram.

Got a new desktop Dual Core 3.0ghz 2 gig ram, and it doesnt work at all on the desktop.

I have no idea what is causing it not to work, but like you im stuck.

I am getting rid of the M-audio.

  4. As an amature musician in the forums for musicians and recording, I see alot of company bashing pertaining to poor quality products that are inexpensive but M-Audio hasn't been one of those company's. I guess I'll add M-audio to the "bad" list.
