I want encode vcd (mpeg1) from my avi file but here's the problem the avi file has a resolution of 512x384 what should i do to make this vcd

just encode it as a normal VCD, with TMPG using the proper template (eg PAL, NTSC, or NTSCfilm). From the sounds of things you wanna convert a DivX DVD ripped movie. I have done this numerous times, will work fine. TMPG changes the frame rate accordingly
