Ok so I converted some avi files to dvd format using winavi, then I ran them through dvdlab to make them all pretty, then I think I had to shrink them onto a dvd using dvdshrink. I watched these files on my dvdplayer 2 weeks ago, they were fine, I went to watch them last nite and now the audio doesnt match up, whats going on? Why would it do that? I used quality settings for everything and I didnt burn it at a high speed

yes if i run it on my pc and play using vlc media player it does the same thing, why is this happening?

Digital information don't degrade or change. It either works or fails. the audio sync problem was always there, you just did not notice it 2 weeks ago.

did you by chance put a stomped label on it? You can run into some issues with the playback of dvd's when a label is placed on the DVDR. I've also seen macro blocks during playback too.

Next time, go near the end of it and check for sync. You're not the only one who hasn't noticed this as I've seen this happen on major tv channels like the History channel and even AMC once or twice.
