I'm a newbie, yet I am indeed confused in front of "DVD Cutter Pro 5.0" and "DVD Clone 3.0"! Please tell me which one is more suitable or just give me some suggesion. The problem is I want to find a video related software suite which can not edit dvd, copy dvd, backup DVD-9 to DVD-5 without quality loss, but also convert DVD to other video formats such as avi, divX, xvid, mpeg...
Yes, this is a big project, because I'm fond of all-in-one software, I wouldn't like to install too many software on my computer. By the way, I've downloaded them from http://www.sharewarejunction.com yet I haven't installed them so far, I just plan to listen to your advices before doing that![]()

You need to wait a little bit.
By the way, I don't understand anything of that.
So good luck -
Where's my choice, "none of the above"?
I think you're looking for the Holy Grail, all in ones aren't normally robust or very versatile and the quality is usually crappy. The fact is most of what you want can be done with a few free programs that are likely better than the payware you suggest.
DVDDecrypter, DVDFab decrypter, ripit4me, DVDShrink, VobBlanker - all free tools for going from DVD9 to DVD5.
Edit - I see you added the final option, and none of my suggestions are available at "shareware junction"."Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa -

11 minutes later?
I'm with ZippyP. Delete that junk off of your hard drive and learn how to do it right. -

To clarify:
You can go from DVD9 to DVD5 without quality loss, it just takes two DVD5's to do it."Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa -

DVD-9
DVD-9 is a single sided dual layer DVD which can fit up to 8.5 GB or 7.95 computer GB which many commercial video DVDs are using today (a DVD-9 is basicly two pressed plastic DVD-5s pressed together, they are not burned). Video DVD supports this format but DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W does not support this format."Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa -
As you have already asked this question before, I direct you to the answer I gave before - nothing has changed in the DVD arena in three weeks that alters my first response

The "I'd rather download from {insert website here}" is a bit of a giveaway. Most of what is listed there is of the same caliber - cheap and cheerful, second rate, probably borrowing freely from the open source source code type software.
