I have a DVB-S recording from my sat receiver. It is mpeg2 transport stream. I have demuxed the file with ProjectX and now I´ve got a video file, an audio file and a subtitle file (txt format). Now I import the 3 files into Ulead DVD Workshop and author a DVD, but there´s no subtitles on the final DVD. Everything else is fine.
Could somebody please help me with that.

are you sure ulead dvd workshop support the text subtitle format?
how do you verify that it doesn't work? using standalone dvd player or software dvd player(be sure to play it as a dvd and not just play vob files)

Get Subtitle Workshop and convert the subtitles to another format (SRT seems widely supported). There is even a Ulead format listed, which must work.

I´ve tried to play the files as a DVD on my PC and burned on a DVD-RW. This didnt work on my standalone player neither.

It worked, but now a new problem occurred:

I think the subtitles are too small and they are placed way too low on the screen. If I change the settings for size and positioning in Ulead DVD Workshop before importing the subtitlefile, then the settings jump back to default as soon as I import the subtitlefile. If I make the changes after importing the subtitlefile, then the changes will only take effect for one segment
(the one currently marked) of the subtitles, while the rest stay unchanged.

How do I make the changes for all the subtitles?

I don't use Ulead, so I can't help at the end.

Some subtitle file formats just have the text and timings. like Subrip SRT, others, like SubStation Alpha SSA, have colour, font and positioning settings. In Subtitle Workshop, these are set in "Output settings".

So see if Ulead can load one of these more complex formats.

Note that all these subtitle files are plain text, you can open them with a text editor and make changes with care if you follow the format.

The subtitlefile is accepted by Ulead and the subtitles are generated fine.

The one problem now is, as mentioned before, the size and position of the subtitles.

Which is why I suggested using a format that let you change that.
I'm sure there is a way to change the default layout in Ulead, but I don't use that.

Ulead only accepts its own .txt format

Well, RTFM; or post a new message with a title like "How to format Ulead subtitles?"
