  1. Hi all,
I wanted to convert an MKV movie (xvid+aac) into Xvid. I do not encounter any problem to convert soundtrack with "Faad" software.
But for the videotrack, when I extracts it with virtualdubmod, I obtain video with a constant framerate, so with a liquid effect when there is fast animation
"mkv2vfr" software gives me a videotrack with timecodes !
Now my problem is how to recreate an AVI video using these timecodes for obtaining a "variable framerate" movie like the MKV.

I really don't think AVI supports variable frame rates at all.

To create variable bitrate encodes. Something quite different from variable framerate.

If all you want is XviD, you can demux the video, encode with XviD and then remux to mkv with mkvmerge using the time codes. Sounds like your video was already XviD though. XviD != avi. XviD is just a video codec.
