I am using an ATI AIW Radeon with XP pro. I have istalled all the latest drivers and applications from ATI. Anyway, if I try to capture a small clip being played from certain VHS tapes, such as : Star Wars or Jurasic Park. The capture appears to go well. But when it is played back the first few frames of the capture loop over and over, the sound is great though![]()
This issue is listed at ATIs page, claiming that it happens when recording copyrighted material.

I own the tapes and I just want to test what the card can do. My home movies don't quite push the limits of the card as much say, a tie-fighter dog fight. Does anyone know a way around this?
Thanks,
TheNob

Really?
I have Stinky's Registry tool, but I thought it only helps you adjust the: Bit Value, Bitrate, and VBR Mode.
How do I apply the fix?
Thanks,

my new tool for MMC 7.5 does patch macrovision BUT it's not online at the moment because a LOT of it is being re-coded (the tool for 7.5 is much more complex) .... but I'm still not answering your question am I? ... send me an email I'll point you to the file..

Stinky
