I have spent 2 days using Ulead DVD MovieMaker trying to make an acceptable video. No problems with the software in capture, editing or burning vcd’s, xvcd’s, svcd’s, xsvcd’s but when I play them on the TV the quality is less than acceptable for my taste. I want something at least comparable in picture quality to what I get when running directly from the camera.
I have read numerous posts and tried different config’s with no success. I’m not asking for any more tweak tips as I am sure I’m too amateurish (and lazy) to put any more effort into this. What I’d like to ask you more experienced users is:
If I purchase a DVD recorder and continue to use the Ulead DVD MovieMaker (I really like this software, great for a newbie like myself) would I be able to get a movie comparable to the picture I get when watching from my Sony Digital PC100 camera. Or should I just wait another year or so until the technology advances more?
Any help will be much appreciated as I’d hate to spend $1k+ for a DVD recorder plus another $20 for a disc and still end up with a blocky picture.
