    I know that Nero will write data dvds but is there any other software that will?

    just one example, there are many many software programs to burn dvd data discs, some free some not.

    I thirdond that. DeepBurner is great...you could also test CDBurnerXp.

    Thanks for your help guys. DeepBurner worked great. The problem with Nero was that it would not accept zip files.

    The next version of ImgBurn will also allow burning of data DVD's, by incorporating ISO creation. It's not yet released, but will be shortly.

    I installed DeepBurner and burned 3 dvds with the following results.
    All 3 dvds were 4.37gb 4x speed
    Each one took 28 minutes to burn.
    Nero burned the same 3 dvds-each one took 13 minutes.
    Does anyone know why the big difference?

    Are you trying to do this through, Code; GUI; command line; yada yada.. ??

    I think that -[ vcdimager ]- is command line controlable. I was just
    researching this recently, out of curiosity. I wanted to see if I could
    eliminat the Nero thing, if I knew all I was creating was a DVD Video disk.
