You start by not using Nero.

You have fan-subbed anime. Fan-subbers seem to have no understanding of how television works, and there put subtitles outside the safe zones. This means they get the ends cut off or the bottoms lost if simply encoded without thought.

This results in one of the most common questions here - how do I get my subtitles back on screen. Before you proceed any further and waste discs using NeroVision, read up about Overscan in the glossery, then search the forums for Overscan and FitCD. You will find many, many posts on this topic, and the solution to the problem it causes.

The *real* solution is accept fansub for what it is: well-intentioned junk. There are exceptions of course.

So pay $$$ to get the registered version, then there's no watermark.

The free version, DivxtoDVD, doesn't do SRT, but it's fine as is.

Or use freebies like AVI2DVD or DIKO

If you have the srt file, then just encode the video for DVD, then author with something that accepts subtitles - DLP, DVDWS or DVD Composer might suit
