no video what so ever??

well i am not new to computer by any means. i just built my self new computer and it doe snot play any video.

all the players (WM, VLC and Divix) open video files and you can hear sound but no video is to be seen just the black screen. vlc actualy resizes to the size of it.

i have required codec installed (i also have gspot) and i am out of idead what is causing this. its fresh windows xp instal and i have 7900gt for my video card.

any help is greatly apreciated

Could be an overlay issue. Update to the latest graphics drivers and check the overlay settings.

I'd say you have a problem in your video card settings. Probably concerning overlay adjustments. I don't have a Nvidia card installed at the moment, but that is where I fixed it last time. You might look here for some suggestions: http://forums.nvidia.com/lofiversion/index.php?t16055.html

thanks a lot i had to disable color corection in nvidea panel and now it works
