my panasonic dvd drive is dead...the hard drive still works...any body successfully transplanted the hard drive to a computer either as slave or a usb2.0 enclosure and worked burned the video files to computer dvd drive?if so whats the best software?
or what replaceable dvd drive is there for the panny?
what way is easier?

Have you opened it up yet to see what the actual dvd drive looks like? I wouldn't expect it to be a pc style drive, but you never know.

yes i opened it up...but still could not make it out ....any answers to replacing it from compusa drive or elsewhere? or anyone successfully transplanted the hd?to computer?
