I just installed Powerdivx but there's some problems with the player, so I uninstalled it. However, it appears that every video I play is inverted. What's wrong? This has never happened before!

you didn't say what your system config is. there's a utility called DIVXG400 that works pretty well with the Matrox G400 vid card. I think it works with other vid cards as well. It should fix your prob.
MOBO: ASUS P4P800 Deluxe
CPU: 3 GHz P4
OS: Win 2k SP2
Audio: ECHO Mona
BSCVideo Card: ATi Radeon 9800 Pro
Video Capture: IEEE-1394 DV
HSF: Volcano 5
HDD: WD 1200JB
Video HD: WD1000BB
CD-RW: Sony
DVD-R: Pioneer A03 -
You should also check your hardware acceleration (in Windows XP, it's under Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced>Troubleshoot). If it's turned all the way down to none, some DivX movies will play upside down.
Also check your video acceleration settings in Media Player. In the newest version, it's at Tools>Options>Performance. -
P3-500.
I think DIVXG400 is causing the problem. How to disable it? The folder is already gone from my C:\
