Hello. so I have 2 predicaments. 1, I am using Nerovision to convert avi files to dvd format. I like the program cuz u can fit 12 files on a disk. Problem is it kills the quality, even if its just 2 files. I know of tmpeg but there are so many other conversion tools out there now and I dont know what one to use anymore..I want quality! Ive heard of cucusoft, avi2dvd etc etc My 2nd problem is I am running this on an AMD Athalon, ive heard that I should be doing this on an intel, is this true?

Thanks in advance for any info given!

For quality, a standalone encoder like TMPGEnc will do a better job. Or CCE, or Mainconcept or one of the freeware encoders from 'Tools' to the left. <<<<<<

The all in ones, such as ConvertXToDVD work OK, but you don't have as much control over the settings to get the best quality. I wouldn't recommend WinAVI at all.

Really makes no difference whether you use a AMD or an Intel CPU.

AVI2DVD is simple, works fine, but it doesn't do fancy stuff like motion menus, AC3 audio, and that sort of stuff.
