Taking 23.97 to 25 fps seems to be a bit of a problem with encoders. I've tried different encoders, and frameserving. I've just been playing around, and i tried this:
Used AVIfrate to change the avi from NTSC film to PAL (23.97 to 25fps)
Encoded to mpeg2 svcd
Playback is flawless - but if i use nero to burn an svcd, the svcd won't play. If i burn the mpg to normal iso format, and select the mpg file, it plays back normally.
What causes this?
Another thing - is there a DEFINATIVE guide to format conversion (PAL to NTSC and vice versa)?
