    i just ripped the iso from one of my dvds (fullmetal alchemist the movie) and the iso turned out bring 6gb...is it possible for this dvd being a 6gb DVD? or is it a dual layer or something? if so, ill just burn it into a dual layer disk, but will it still work in my DVD player? doesnt say anything about dual layer.

    most commercial dvds are dual layer.

    dual dvdrs works in many dvd players but far from all, check our dvd player list for comments or just test and see.

    or dvd shrink it to a single layer dvd.

    thanks, im pretty sure the dvd player supports dual layer, if you say most commercal dvds are dual layer.

    If your dvd player is less than four or five years old you should be ok. Only the first or second gen cheapo units would have problems playing dual layers.

    Now Dual Layer RECORDABLE discs are another matter. The playback reliability of those has been reported to be less than -,+ R discs on older models.

    But if you rip it and shrink it to a single layer dvdr you really shouldn't have any problems to worry about.
