  1. 2-3 years ago I copied some files to a DVD-R disc. I don't remember if I burned it w/in Windows' Explorer or used a special program. So now my computer doesn't recognize the disc. It either sees a blank media or not a readable disc. I had Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator installed but still can't see the files. Is there a way to view it somehow or figure out how to view them?

  2. If it is not visible through windows explorer, you are unfortunately hosed. You could try to clean the laser lens of your drive, and see if that helps.
Believing yourself to be secure only takes one cracker to dispel your belief.

I've never used it myself, but have seen Isobuster mentioned here several times as a possible last resort for DVDs or CDs one can't otherwise access or retrieve contents from.
