help with vegas movie studio+dvd platinum

I am trying to decide which editing program to purchase between vegas movie studio-dvd platinum edition, ulead, vegas movie studio dvd and pinnacle. I am currently trying to test the trail version of vegas movie studio dvd platinum edition and I am looking for a the manual or some info on tips. I have tried the sony website and the only manuals I see are for vegas movie studio. Will this manual cover all I need for the vegas movie studio dvd platinum edition?
