  1. Hi,

My Philips DVP 642 just died on me after 2 years of massive use hehe I was pretty satisfied of the product!

Now I'm wondering, what is the best dvd player on the market that can plays DIVX, XVID & SRT subtitles?

    Thanks

You can still get the Philips, I've had good luck with mine also.

However, I would highly recommend the Oppo OPDV971H. Excellent picture quality, Fully Divx Pro compliant (unlike the 642), and supports idx/sub/srt subtitles.

    Check it out: http://oppodigital.com/
