Time to upgrade dvd players (again) - as xvid seems to be taking off quite nicely.
I've mostly stuck with pioneers -- things will play anything, and have proved quite good over the years.
I'm looking for a good quality, upconverting (this is the only feature that doesn't matter that much) player that supports xvid, divx, svcd and dvd-r. Local best buy has an LG that does the above, not heard much about it though..
I know there are cheapo xvid players out there, but I've got so many components now, I'd rather spend a few bucks and get something decent, rather then just add an extra dvd player to the rack.
with the directv rec, 5.1 rec, tivo and current dvd player, my rack is full and I got more than enough remotes floating around.
any suggestions? something that isn't real media sensitive.. the pioneers have been real good about that (I use quality media, but still..).
The upconverting would be nice, but not required, I've not noticed much of a difference with it anyhow.
oh.. and if theres a 5 disc changer that fits the bill, that'd be a homerun.
thanks
d
list of players to date..
pioneer dv-578, dv-343, dv-503, dv-505, samsung 840.
