I've used Nero in the past and it worked great. That was then. I've read way too much that Nero 7 is terrible.

I just ordered Nero 6.6 from Acortech.com (someone mentioned them in one of the forums here) for $5 and free shipping. It seemed like the way to go.

Is there a better alternative? I've gone through a few of the forums and could not find any help regarding this.

    Thanks

    Burning or authoring?
If burning, burning DVD-VIDEO, data, computer backups, games, what?
You're too vague on what you're doing exactly.

    Sorry.

I'm burning DVDs (VOBs, Image) after using DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink.

  4. Images/ISO can be burned with DVD Decyptor or ImgBurn

VOBs (VIDEO_TS folders) can be converted to ISO image using ImgTool Classic, then burned using DVD Decryptor or ImgBurn.

    All freeware.

I would burn ISO images in DVD Decrypter.

If you use DVD Shrink, let it use the Nero API and burn directly from DVD Shrink.
