I have a bunch of movies that I'm trying to use in a DVD authoring project, but they all play back with different volume levels.
Is there some way to normalize the volume of all of the movie files with one another?
I have Video Vegas and Soundforge at hand.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sure! You can use Soundforge to normalize as a batch to normalize files. Not sure if you'll have to demux them first. You can try both ways. I know Soundforge accepts video as input so maybe you don't have to demux. Anyway, see this great guide for more info:
