  1. Messiah 750 Random Problems on new Slim EURO PAL 75004 GH-041-34 PS-2!!

    Hello,
I just installed a Messiah 750 Mod chip in a brand new Slim EURO PAL 75004 GH-041-34 PS-2.
    http://www.cj-inter.com/modchip/small%20image/Messiah%20750%20for%207500x%20PAL%20AND%20NTSC.jpg

The chip does work, but I encountered some problems!
Some times in random, when I insert a PS-2 game CD/DVD (Either original or copy), it will begin to boot but after the “PlayStation 2 Logo” shows up, it will show the Red screen saying that it does not recognize the disc. Some times it will even go past the PlayStation 2 logo screen but it will give me the Red screen after the game title screen shows up and after I press the start button.

This happens randomly in both original & copied CD/DVDs and I don’t seem to find any specific pattern!

    I used the H2O V14 diagrams:
    http://d-vices.com/subzero/h2o-14.jpg

I have connected the “Z” point but not the “H” point which is for the Japanese PS-2s.

The only thing that could have gone wrong was that I originally connected the 5V point of the chip on a ground point on the PS-2 PCB. So when I 1st started the PS-2 it did not boot up at all, but I corrected that and now it works but with the above random problems.
The rest of the connections are all fine.

Could this be a defective chip?

I've read that you should not connect the "Z" point, but could that be causing the problem?

    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

  3. I disconnected point "Z" but the problem persists.

How about the MOBBO 750 v1.82?
Will that solve the problem and work better on the GH-041-34 PS-2?

Is the MODBO 750 v1.82 an “Autoboot” mod chip like the Matrix Infinity or do you have to press Reset button to cycle between PS-1/2/DVD modes?

If so could anybody post the operation modes for the Modbo?

    Thanks in advance.

I think the modbo is an infinity clone

I would only use a chip like a matrix infinity, ghost, Duo, or DMS4
I have had very good success with ifinity chips and duo they work really well

  5. Yes, it's an infinity clone.
Obviously the original Matrix & ghost, duo, etc… will work perfectly, but I just want a cheap solution for this case.

The local supplier is selling the Modbo 750 1.82 for 8Euro & another supplier is selling the Modbo 745 1.75 for 10Euro.

I’m not sure what’s the difference between the two however.

yeah you usually run into some problems with clones though at least in my experience so I just stopped using them
