I tried your template with the 800 bitrate for a VCD. Even with significant blurring and darkening, followed by ghost reduction and sharpening, the encoding looks really dirty and pixelated.
I do not think anything below 1000 bitrate is sufficient for decent quality.
The Spanish CVCD template (1150 bitrate) was actually pretty good when using the blurring-darkening filters followed by ghost reduction-sharpening.
The only thing I got out of your templates was using ghost reduction to reduce the blurring in the final video. Perhaps you need to re-do your guide.

If u are going to be straight forward, the i will too
Perhaps u need to re-read my guide as just this topic explained to me yo know nothing in the advanced part bout what u are doing.
For one, it is for XSVCD, not XVCD
2nd- u only use ghost reduction if custom color correction isnt working which 94% of the time, it will
3rd- when u darken something, u brighten it back up with another filter, like eplained in the guide, everything balances out so the output looks the same, except no blocks, no contrast problem!
Also, if u think u r smart enough, look below a couple topics and answer my 2 questions
I have made a new rainbow book format that guarantees and dvd player whos only support is vcd\svcd standard movies playable, my new format will let u encode in standard, but put up to 4 hrs of video in STANDARD VCD\SVCD QUALITY!
This isnt a bad comment forum but dont come up in here thinking i'm retarded or something.

Let me guess. You're shrinking the video so it is playing in the center of the TV. In other words, you are playing a tiny little <100 x <100 resolution video with huge black borders around it to get good quality with lots of time.
I don't think this would bode well with people with small enough TV sets.

keep on assuming and i wont help u
Look at my new topic
dl the damn mpg file and burn it
Its SVCD standard(my new format- SVCD-X)
1 min on it is 7.01 mb in real standard is 20 mb, this is NOT XSVCD.
If you would only believe I am an expert at this hobby, maybe u will stop arguing.

Putting on that thick black border around your Fast and Furious video encode is pretty silly. However, the existing blocky jagged visuals was definitely a joke.
Do you simply enjoy exaggerating or is it something that requires prescription medication. -
OK, to the fuckin point-
The black bars are called widescreen dumb ass
2nd, if u dl the clip, this has been encoded 3 times.
3rd- U should have burned the mpg to a cd and watch in standard playable dvd players anyway.
I do not appreciate ur fuckin disbeliefs.
Look at it this way.
I have let people watch this new standard format in both VCD-X and SVCD-X and no problems.
Quality comes from the source. This was not a test of quality. If u want a test of quality, i'll bring it
I'll upload the whole god damn fast and furious dvd rip on my site if that satisfies u, although u be dl it for 5 hrs haha
Anyway, even someone on the other topic dl it, well actually 2 people have and responded sayin it works perfectly.
My last words-
Dont respond to this and face u think ur more intelligent in this video editing than i am, which is a big ass mistake.
Ask ANYONE who has heard of ShiZZZoN on this damn website and see if i am retarded or if i have made ANY mistakes or bad leads to bad quality.
Hell, email Baldrick at baldrick@vcdhelp.com

Except to the legally blind, your clip looked very jaggy, blocky and simply bad looking. What was the point of showing this clip if it was not to prove your supposed great Shizzzon quality? To waste our time again?
Also, what is up with the thick black border around the video, including the right and left sides. Shrinking the video resolution was what I predicted that you would do, despite your denials. So much for your credibility.
So far, you've produced zero evidence that you even know what you are doing in video encoding. Your name sticks out like a cold sore because you choose to overpromote yourself constantly. It's beyond shameless.
Going back to the question: Why you overexaggerate and overpromote yourself?
The simplest and kindest explanation: You are delusional.
