I bought a Pixma 4000 yesterday and want to print directly to printable surface DVD-Rs. I am wondering what is the best software to use for designing the graphics (I want a photo and some text) and if the media you use can make a big difference to the quality when you are printing directly to the disc?
I tried searching the forums for this info, but couldn't find it.![]()

I use Canon's CD-LabelPrint program.

So do I. A bit basic but does what it is intended to do.

I also use it. Just for printing though other than simple text. For anything more involved than that, I use PhotoShop. Also Illustrator for more complex text layouts.
Really it is no different to anything else involving graphics. Just that your image is always round with a hole in the middle.
Any place with mostly uses from the USA (not sure the breakdown here) you won't find info, because Canon printers don't print on discs there due to a patent by Epson or something like that.
