    I'm the owner of a DVD recorder LG DR4800. I bought it 2 years ago and it worked good till last month. Now it doesn't read, write and recognize dvd anymore. It reads cd only. I'm very sad because it's a great DVD recorder and I always took care of it. Anyone knows somenthing about it? Could it be a firmware problem as one my friend told me? Thanks in advance!

    Probably laser head/lens deterioration. Its quite common with LG, BenQ, Philips DVD writers/recorders and those earlier generations of name brand DVD players, including Panasonic, Toshiba, Sony and Pioneer.

  3. My LG dr4800 has a problem:
    when it records from VCR,if the videotape is original,or is recorded by another VCR it's all ok;
    but if it is recorded by the VCR which is connected with DVD Recorder,the images leap up every 3/4 seconds.
    When the DVD Recorder is off,there isn't problem.
    I substituted 2 VCR,but i didn't find a solution!
    Please help me.
