subtitle error

i'm trying to convert a .sub file to .sup using subtitle studio, i wanted to convert the subtitle file (something something something.2004.DVDRip.XviD-QiX.sub) so that i could use it on 'convertxtodvd'. and an error message pops up saying the format is not supported. someone please tell me what to do cause i've been trying to convert this bloody movie with the bloody subtitles for a very long time and it's getting to be really irritating. any help is appreciated. thanks

convert your sub format with subrip or vobsub (subresync) into an another format like srt (subrip).
