    Hi can anyone help

    A friend of mine has the above DVD recorder however he says there are no chapters when watching playback i can only presume he means when watching from the hard drive. Is this something he needs to do in set up or is the standard?

    Yes, he probably is talking about playing from the hard drive.

    No, there are no default chapters in anything captured to the hard drive.
    He can use the 'skip' and 'time skip' buttons to jump to locations in the video during playback, but if he wants chapters he has to set up the chapter points manually.
