Hello all. This is my first post to the forum. I have tried "googling" every possible way I can to find the answer before resorting to asking here.

    Here is my issue:

First let me give you my definition of streaming...There are webhosts such as www.yourfilehost.com. They offer movies that play inside of Internet Explorer. Inside of your Internet Explorer browser, a small version of Windows Media Player opens. The movie buffers, then starts to play. Although this may not exactly be what "streaming" truly is, whenever I use the words stream or streaming, this is what I am referring to.

While surfing the internet, I often find streaming videos (from blog boards etc.) I never have any problems with streaming content.....unless the file is an .mpg or .mpeg file. When trying to stream these movies, I can see the player start (on its controls), but the movie screen remains blank. I have noticed that if I refresh Internet Explorer, the movie file will show up, and I can watch it.

The same goes for downloading a file. Not the type of downloading that saves the file to your hard disc, but the streaming type of download where the file is downloaded into your temp folder, and you can watch it in Windows Media Player. If I click a link to play (not to save), WMP opens. The status bar moves, but the screen remains blank. If I click the file again, WMP will play the file.

As I mentioned before, this only occurs when I attempt to watch or stream an undownloaded .mpeg or .mpg file. No other media files give me this problem.

    Any ideas?
