Preferably an ATI Radeon X1300 256MB 2006 PCI E edition:

AM I right here? Satelite can be hooked up to it through a coaxial cable from the back of the satelite box? Also, if you have this card and don't have the MCE, how do you view the live TV...what program. I know you can capture through the Studio program as It comes with capturing devices, but I am not sure how it works. ANy suggestions or help with this?

And if you hook up the satelite to the input on the back of the card through a coaxial cable that says CATV, can you capture to Studio by doing it that way?

OK, I just noticed that my CD has the mutli media center on it, so that is where you can view the TV, etc.? And record from Satelite on it from this too, right?

You can capture or watch the channel the sat receiver is tuned to yes. It won't be as good quality as S-Video but it will work. The S-Video connection will bypass an additional RF modulation-demodulation.

Thanks. I was just wanting to make sure that it COULD have satelite hooked up to it as it only had mentioned something about cable, but they both run through a coaxial cable, so I figured it WOULD work.

I do not like having time shifting on all the time while waching TV, so if you would like to disable it change the registry as documented in the following post:

Thanks for the link. I hate when they assume you want that without asking first.
