Hello,
I just received my brand new Matrox RT.x10 capture/render card yesterday. I hooked it up to my JVC s9600 VCR (via S-Video) and it all worked pretty well.
The Matrox captures at 720x480.
However, there is small picture glitch on the very bottom of the screen. It's not like other glitches that move around and change. This one is stationary always in the same place, only there is picture information moving in perfect time with the movie. To me it looks like the picture is being moved too far to the right causing a misalignment with the top portion of the screen. This problem occurs on all tapes that I put in. I tried home videos and some professional videos.
I searched on the internet, but found nothing similar so I've attached some pictures of what it looks like.
The part where this gets interesting is that, if I turn on "Image Stabalization" on my VCR, then the glitch on the bottom goes away, however, more serious problems begin to occur. Problems like curling at the top corner and much more choppy, wavvy picture on the top.
I've also attached a picture of the curling that occurs when image stabalization is engaged.
Any and all help is immensley appreciated. As of now, the only option I can see is to crop the video, but if this can be prevented that would be soo much better.
Thanks in advance!
