No audio or strange sound on dvd

HI,

50% of avi films i convert are fine on both my standalone dvd players, but the other 50% work fine on one setup but the other produces eith distorted sound or no sound at all, no sound being the more frequent result.

Any Ideas?

Sorry meant to say ... using SVCD2DVD v2.0 (Build 2.0.2146)

Audio settings:
MPEG Audio selected
Both keep source deselected (tried this with "keep aource audio if AC-3 but made no difference)

Try choosing AC3. Some dvd players choke if the dvd is ntsc yet the audio is mpeg-audio. Thus AC3 is the better choice.
