Late last month, the Seattle Times interviewed Robert Vaughn, who played Napoleon Solo in the 60's TV series, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. He said that the series was slated for DVD release this year. And, another site said that Anchor Bay Entertainment had set July 25th as the release date. But now, this is apparently on hold due to wrangling over rights with Warner Brothers (sigh).

If anyone hears anything new on this, post it here.

The Man From UNCLE and The Girl From UNCLE have been on
the Lifetime Channel for about a year (in case anybody wants
    to see it).

The first ones were shown in black and white!

Yup, the series started right at the moment when a lot of shows were in transition. I think the first season was B/W with the next 3 in color. Or, maybe they made the transition during the first season.

BTW, what days/times is the show aired? I have LIFETIME channel in my area but there's no mention of the series on my TitanTV schedule for LIFETIME.

Oh, I messed up! It's on AmericanLife TV Network.

Im my area Adelphia is the only cable provider that
shows it. I checked Directv and Dish but they don't have
that channel. That's why I have Adelphia!

Here's a link to the network...

Darn. Comcast doesn't carry that channel in my locale. But, there's hope. I checked out their site and LOVE their purpose statement:

More than 80 million strong, Baby Boomers are a vastly underserved audience. And finally there is one network that is all about the Baby Boomer Generation - past, present and future - AmericanLife TV Network.
That's me ... a baby-boomer. On April 10th, they expanded to add on 700,000 new subscribers. Hope they expand into my area soon.

There are 2 ways that you might get that channel...

1 Call Comcast's customer service and request the channel.

2 AmericanLife Network has a request-form someplace on their website.

Don't hold your breath because I tried that when I had Wide Open West cable,
and they still don't carry that channel!

I think Adelphia might have the monopoly for that channel in my area, and I'm
    not complaining at all!!!

By the way, The Girl From UNCLE is on TV as I'm typing this! Just wanted to rub it in! :P

I think I found that area, too ... and sent them a bug-note.

Well, they recently upped my cable bill by about $3. That usually only happens when they're getting ready to add something. Who knows - maybe I'll get lucky.

Hehe, well I'll just have to suffer for now I guess. I also would like to see "I Spy" as well.
