  1. Hi!

I am helping my dad sort out what he needs to do to get HD-related video on his HDTV. We live in Sweden were we don't have any broadcasts on the tv-network in HD. So the material we can use is, for example, downloaded AVI's etc.

He has a new computer with the necessary horsepower, but a crappy Intel graphics card.

So what graphics card should he get for the computer? The TV has HDMI and VGA ports - HDMI sounds like a good idea since it has both audio and video right? I think PCI or AGP would be a safe bet, not sure the comp has PCI-E.

    Best regards

    Kristian

I am using a MyHD card from http://www.digitalconnection.com which works quite nicely. I'm using the HDMI cable to my Olevia 26" HDTV monitor, which doubles as a computer monitor. You can check the site out ... and also, there is a HDTV forum on this site too.
