I have finally tracked down a used JVC HR-S9500EH (PAL) Svhs VCR, so now i can play my imported tapes (NTSC), and I wanted to save them to DVD-r (to my standalone JVC dvdrecorder).
But when i record I get this bar "and the video splits into 2"
    Se this videoclip. (Xvid)

So can I do anyting? Does the video have any filters or do i have to buy an pure NTSC VCR?
I have Tried these filters NDR and TBC and B.E.S.T, I can only switch them on/off.

What do the tapes look like when you output them directly to your multi-format TV?

The pic/vid you posted doesn't look like the usual "quasi" (not a true NTSC) signal problem....the picture quality is too good....but I cannot think of anything else it could be.
Does the VCR say it will convert from NTSC to PAL or does it say it will "play" NTSC?
I'm not familiar with that VCR but I can tell you that there are not that many true converting VCR's here in Europe....but a LOT of VCR's that play NTSC and make it viewable on European TV's.
