I've got a jvc drmh20 recorder. It is being sent back as fault since it has come up with the dread loading error. However i can still play movies on the hdd. If i try to dub them then it crashes.
Is there any way to transfer the video from the hdd to my pc? Can i take the hdd out and connect it somehow?
thanks

I've thought about this problem a lot since I have a hdd recorder myself. I always figured that if the hdd was still working, I could transfer them to DVD using another DVD recorder. That might be easier than taking the hard drive out. I don't know if your still under warranty or not, but I think that taking the hard drive out would void it. As long as your outputs are still working you should be ok.
