When burning an .avi to DVD the video has audio on my computer (mac G5) but once it is on DVD there is no audio. There is video but no sound on the DVD. I open my .avi's using VLC on the computer and the videos work fine until burned. I, for the life of me, can not figure this out. Also this does not happen with every .avi. I am not a computer pro so if anyone has any suggestions for me that would be great.

An .AVI is not a valid DVD video format. What format did you convert your audio to? How did you encode your video? What did you use to compile your DVD?

Well I'm not sure what the answers to your questions are but I'll tell you what I can. I can open the .avi with VLC and watch the movie on the computer. I move the .avi to Toast and burn the movie with that. I can't tell you what format my audio is in because I don't know how a person would find that out. I do know that with using Toast we usually put the movie on a rewritable DVD-R just in case there is no sound. If you can tell me what I should look for I maybe could answer your questions a little more detailed. I appreciate you trying to help me.
