  1. I am trying to make a menu for a SVCD file I have created with TPMG when burnt with NERO 5.5.6. I have read several FAQ's on the issue and it burns okay, but when I play it, I get a black screen, no choices, no movie. I don't know what I am not doing/doing?!? Please help.

Its nice to know someone has the same problem i once did. only i get a blue screen. i tried contacting nero tech. support, but they are fucked, they give you one liners back like 'check your media type'. only about 5 times out of 30 did i get a working menu out of nero, the other times was blue screen, no menu. it was always by chance as well, i could never pinpoint why it happened. Anyway, DUMP THE NERO MENUGEN, it is just about hands down the worst one out there. there are many good alternates (I-Author, WinONCD, TSCV, ETC..)

It happens to me even when i burn 5 megs on a CDRW. It isnt the space, anyway, do you know how big those menu files are? about 200kb, that isnt shit really.

  5. Please check that you are using a .jpg file for the background. Although accepted, using .bmp or any other file format, results in a black screen. Hope this helps.

  6. i have used both, and neither work most of the time, JPG quality isnt that good anyway, so why would someone want to use a shitty menu gen, with a shitty image file format? makes no sense
