  1. I burnt a VCD, then deleted the files from my computer, but now I want to add more to it, how can I get my mpg files back, off of the vcd?

  2. Just put the VCD in your cd-rom and open then it will show the files on the CD.....highlight them and copy then paste in a folder on your harddrive...hehe

  3. Actually to be 100% safe, use VCDGear to convert the dat file back to a MPEG. You can also do this in the tools section of TSCV or VCDEasy.

You can also copy the dat file to your HD and rename it to *.mpg but I do not recommend this.

  4. however, to make another VCD, u can't just burn those files you copied from VCD to hdd as a regular data CD. u need to burn the .dat file using nero's VCD template and burn using mode 2/xa

  5. If you are talking about extracting the guts out of a VCD (ALL the files and source files -- including menus and stuff) doing some editing and then recompiling it, the best way is with VCDXRIP (tool in VCDImager).

Use CDRWin to extract your VCD as a CUE/BIN image on your HDD. Then, use VCDXRIP on the image. It will extract all your files as well as create an XML descriptor file of your VCD.

    Regards.
