    Is it possible to use my computer to playback anamorphic dvd-movies on my widescreen-tv (it's a CRT, not LCD/Plasma), while taking advantage of the anamorphic part (letting my tv stretch the picture to it's correct aspect-ratio like a dvd-player does) ?

    yes, i use zoom player for just that.
