I have been capturing my family 8mm silent cine films onto my computer after a lot of trial & error. Does anyone know of a good source of background music. What do other people use in this situation. (Free would be great, but if there are other good sources that would be ok).
Many thanks to the help of all on this forum - it has been a long slow voyage of discovery and a constant challenge, and I would probably not have got this far without you all.

The amazing Bill Cushman has made a whole bunch of his piano music available for free (no charge at all) on his Ghost Notes blog.
Check it out. The latest post, Esmovoir, is particularly nice and a good "background" piece.
There is also a lot of music on FreeplayMusic but that is not royalty free. -
Thnak you for posting the link.
This beats me ripping from Richard Clyderman CD.
