  1. could someone tell me please what codec is the best to copress with in VirtualDub?

    out of the ones that don't have no restrictions:

    Cinepak codec by Radius
    Intel IYUV codec
    Microsoft Video 1
    Microsoft Windows Media 9
    Xvid MPEG-4 codec

    Out of those I would have to go with XviD, followed by WMV9 VCM.

    I wouldn't read too much into the no know restrictions though. XviD will convert everything to YV12 and you have resolution restrictions that go with that and ideally you should be sticking with mod16 resolutions anyway.
