some divx files not all i download end up having this problem.. now they work fine on the comp but if i put them on a cd or dvd not converting them just as they are divx files. the file plays like a bad acid trip like they show on some movies where you see colors streaking with every movment. ive tried asorted programs to fix only one that helps is -- Divx converter -- now this fixes the problem but its rather time consuming and the size of the file changes so i assume im loosing some quality in video or sound or both...i have a DVP-642 philips player dont know if its somthing with my player or somthing else ...but as i say its not all files i get...if anyone has had the same trouble and has a quick fix let me know..any info is appreciated..

Use g-spot or similar to post specs of the files. It will be something in the way they have been encoded - either version or settings - that is not 100% compatible with your playback hardware. Converting them fixes the problem.
