  3. thanks for replying Treebeard. that was the first site i ever used. they have a great selection but the quality is low compared to the old daprogger and covers.to. so i guess im looking for one that can match the number of selections cdcovers.cc carries but also have the option for high quality versions of that cover. does anyone else have any suggestions

I'm surprised the DVD makers themselves don't offer the ability to go to a site and reprint them. Heck, even offer an ability to mail an authentic one. Maybe charge $1.75-$2.50 to cover materials + S&H. Honestly, I'd buy an authentic one over making my own. I like the gold trims and detail they offer. I'll make my own covers for personal DVDs and other such things.

Actually, FreeCovers.net only asks for 10.00 yearly to access "uncompressed" hi res images...
Those same hi res images can also be downloaded for FREE w/jpeg compression... Still looks way better than 150 dpi covers from CDcovers. This gives access to thousands of 300dpi plus images for free...they put the CDcovers site to shame with it's 150dpi limits or you can try CDcovers stupid request section for emailed hi res images, which is a PITA IMO.
Go to CDCovers only if you can't find it in hi res at FreeCovers 8)
FreeCovers has an advanced search engine too, it works like a charm.
They give uploader credits, track downloads and more!
At the very least, registering with the site will stop the pop-up ads...
Tell 'em the DVD420kid sent ya!

    Oop's
Just realised you already mentioned that site.
They do go down once in awhile, but alot of sites do, but they are always back usually the same day.
I just DLed some stuff from there last night and today.

The only problem is immediately after you visit the site you need to run your anti-spyware & ad-ware removal tools.

I have my security measures on too. That's how I found out all the junk that's on the sites. I read the logs once in a while. Freecovers.net must plaster unprotected PCs like crazy. I saw some mirar get blocked some 75 time in a matter of 5 min.

actually no activex or software is forced onto users, just banner ad's and admittadly annoying popups; though if you register (which is free) there are no popups and only harmless image banners

... if there is definately some form of spyware/adware being forced onto you then grab some screenshots and logs and notify the staff! unlike other cover sites they have the users in mind and the only way that kind of thing could be on their site is if an advertiser is sneeking it in!

oh, avoid coverkingdom.net at all costs! they force some zongo search assitant, and youc ant download the cover unless you install it :O
