VCD, No video, cant preview in TMP

Hi Everyone, This is a awesome site for finding lot of digital media info.
I downloaded TMPGEnc and extracted it in a folder. I tried to convert Avi files to mpeg1 for vcd burning using NERO. I tried to preview AVI in TMPG, it wont show me anything. And when I tried to preview the MPG that it created, I couldnt see that either. I tried to open the mpg in windows media, it wont show me any VIDEO. It has audio but no Video. Same thing happened when I burned it to a VCD, my DVD player will play it, but there is no video.
I am a novice at this, I would appreciate your help alot.

You might be missing a codec needed to read/play that file. Can you play the AVI correctly? If it can't read it, it can't play it, nor can it convert it (until it has the necessary codecs installed). See the FAQ (link on the left) for more info.

Yes I can play avi file correctly. but I cannot preview it on TMP.
I think I have installed all the codecs. 3.1, 4.1, 5.0. But still wont play.
I have Panasonic RP 62 player.
I used NERO 5.0 to burn it into VCD. Although that might not be the problem. Because I cant play it on the computer.

Read the "how to - newbie" section over on the left, they list this problem under the "TMPGEnc common problems" heading.
