So will the high density next gen media be the last cd sized media we see??
Will they jump to flash cards once they get cheap enough and large enough?
What if they could make a memory card that could hold 60gb and never get scratched or worn out? What if they could make read only models like dvds so they could sell them at a store like dvds???
Wouldn't that also mean that future players would be extremely smaller than they are now if they wouldn't HAVE to hold a cd/dvd/next gen disc? They could make them no larger than the size required for the power unit and the appropriate high definition audio/video outputs.
I like the thought of having them in scratch proof media cards rather than scratch prone discs.
What do you think?

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I doubt it. I see HD/BD being a slow mover. It will probably be quickly replaced.
HD/BD DVD will go the way of the 2.88MB floppy disc. Too little too late. -
I don't even want to think about that yet.....i'm still in the stage of thinking about when(if ever) i'm going to be able to afford a blu-ray/hd-dvd player
