Putting family VHS tapes on DVDs and already got complaints that the sound isn't loud enough......
Now I need to increase the volume of the wav file before I convert to AC3
I found Audacity and it seems to work, but...... ?
I loaded the PCM (wav) file into Audacity; went to Amplification and kicked up the existing amplification number by about 2 dB. Left the other checkbox to itself. I had to check clipping cause I had a little. Saved file.
Thats all, and I got out quick.
Converted to wav to AC3 and I am done.
Is this okay ?? I got a lot of VHSes to do.
Can't tell about sync, cause no close ups.
Skipped over normalization.
I know there are other programs out there, but I had to pick something.
Come and get me![]()
