my main vote goes for Married With Children.

    I'd also like to see:

    Blackadder
    Red Dwarf
    Cheers
    Frasier
    Moonlighting

I had always wished Star Trek DS9 had continued for at least another season. Luckily, books picked up where it left off. Same for ST: Voyager.

I think Frasier ended before it got silly. Watch a show like Dukes of Hazzard. By the 7th season, you're glad it's gone. When they start letting aliens visit, it's over folks. It got so silly at the end, that it just needed a good ending, and put it to bed.

Married With Children never recovered from Seven and the dreamed pregnancies. I wish it would have at least had a reunion finale movie, or some sort of finale type season. It was also a bit too silly with the UK visit episodes.

I'm not a fan of shows that just sort of drift after the last episode, no sense of closure. At least give it a sense of "we'll keep on going" or something, like Thundercats did. Cancellations tend to piss me off, assuming I liked the show.

Seven was stupid but he was only in a few episodes wasn't he? The pregnancy was also due to Peggy losing her baby in real life . Can you tell I've been reading the Bundyology site over recent weeks . That would be a good idea, just a reunion show to end it all instead of the way it did 8).

I haven't seen the last few series of Frasier as I was going to get the DVD's in time. The same goes for Friends, I haven't watched the 9th and 10th seasons yet either

there was also Red Dwarf movie supposedly in the making but I can't see it on the IMDB site anymore?

This is taken from the Red Dwarf Site

Q:When are we likely to see a ninth series?
A:Doug Naylor was quoted in a recent interview as saying that the future of the TV show relates to Red Dwarf's cinematic release. A series will not happen until the movie is complete, and should the film prove a success, more are possible.

There is always the possibility of a ninth series, however; or TV specials. The Rimmer/Death cliffhanger could also be resolved in other media - but until the film is complete, no specific plans can be made.

  4. I would love to see the UK TV series "Strange" with Richard Coyle at least given a proper ending.

Would quite like to see more "Bugs" too.

    RE: Red Dwarf
The last I heard was that Craig Charles' character had been written out of Corronation Street because he was un-reliable and that the RD movie has been sitting on the shelf now for about two years. I can't see it happening myself.

Red Dwarf may very well be returning.
They are currently making a "big budget" feature length Red Dwarf film.
If it does well, they will continue with the series!

Star Trek the Next Generation should have kept going.
Voyager could have, but when they decided to cancel it, they wrote that horrible half-assed finale and just stopped...

I think they should bring back Howard Stern's channel 9 TV show.

I always enjoyed "The Time Tunnel" ... right up to the moment the writers started grasping at cliche stories. I think the show could work again if they opened up writing opportunities to freelancers. I suspect that part of the reason the various Star Trek spinoffs endured so long is because Paramount was willing to accept outside material. Sometimes, a "fan" with screenwriting know-how can do a better job than a pro writer who's just finished script #14, takes a drink, and says, "OK, now what do I do for #15-#21?"

Arrested Development has (SADLY!) been officially canceled - again.
The last remaining episodes will be avaialble on the DVD release of the final season.
HBO and Showtime have expressed some mile interest in picking it up, but it doesn't really look good for the show.

why was arrested development cancelled? low ratings? i thought it was a pretty popular show.

it does seem more of an hbo-esque show.

and portia derossi... (yes, i know she's a lesbo)

    yup, low ratings.
it got really high reviews -- the critics loved (and so did I!!), but nobody watched it...
